Truth is, hard is what you define hard to be.
Does it require you to do things sometimes you may not like?
Will it make you rise up earlier in the morning and sleep later in the evening?
Does it require you to sacrifice date nights, family time, or fun activities because you have to complete a list of tasks?
Will you have to experience things that will test your patience or give you anxiety?
But, why would anyone want to put themselves through this?
Because they want to grow.
They want to earn success.
They want to become wealthy.
They are choosing to do things in life that will reward them later for all their exchange in time, energy, and hard work to build something great they believe in.
Greatness is formed when passion meets opportunity.
If your passionate enough, you’ll create your own opportunity and start building doors to knock on.
Build the door
There are millions of ideas out in the world today, and one of the most challenging things is defining which idea to go all in on.
This is where you have to take a step back first and establish an understanding of self-awareness and self-identity. Your idea must be linked to who you are in order for you to find real happiness, growth, and success in it.
If it is formed based on selling something to make money or doing something to show off or being pressured into societal trends, then you will lose.
All successful businesses are connected to ideas that were brought to life from great people who had a vision and followed through with it. No matter how long it took, how many failures they had to experience, how much they had to sacrifice. None of that measured to their intensity in making sh*t happen. Everything came and looped in the same momentum cycle of being hungrier than anyone else about their responsibility of owning up to doing whatever was required to bring their idea to life.
Because they knew and they were convinced that nobody else would do it for them.
Creating the best Vision
Visions are not tangible.
Visions are of the unseen.
Which means you have to believe in something or have faith in it, before you can ever come to thoughts of holding anything of it. Vision is formed from what we accept to consume every day by giving it the most expensive currency of life.
Which is our TIME.
Consumption of TV, music, people, ideas, trends, activities, etc., are all processed through the most powerful system in the world, which is our minds.
The more you take care of your mind and what you give your time, attention, and focus to is what will be the formation in defining your vision in life. So be very careful and wise in what you exchange your time on consuming. Make sure you give priority to what will help you increase in knowledge, steps towards your goals, and personal self-development. Don’t spend hours listening to music or sitting in front of a tv or spending countless hours on your phone scrolling through your social media feeds.
Time is a valuable asset and a double edge sword.
Either you will use it to cut or it will cut you.
Be patient and Trust the Process
We live in a world of “uber-life”.
Anything you want needs to be fast and easy.
Quick results are what we’ve been accustomed to in the nature of our worlds. Here’s the thing though, when you are working on a great vision, like your business or goals, you will experience disruption in levels you haven’t experienced before.
What do I mean by disruption?
Uncomfortable experiences that you will want to go by fast, but they won’t.
They will require you to have patience.
It’s like pulling teeth.
That is what the experience of disruption will feel like in your mind when you are working on great things.
If you are patient and you keep reminding yourself to trust the process, you will be in the right process of reprogramming your mindset and behavior to get out of the habit of desiring “fast and easy”.
This will allow you to build a character of discipline that is required to achieve your vision successfully.
Discipline is earned through battles and wars that only you alone experience in your mind and the habits you change over a period of time.
Remember you will win as long as you keep patient and keep reminding yourself to Trust the Process.
See Failure as an Opportunity to Overcome
Many people quit when they experience a form of failure, or if that’s what they believe it to be. If you try and flip the switch in your mind and see failure as an opportunity: An opportunity to build your character, strengthen self-discipline, develop more patience, or get tested on your beliefs.
Then you will overcome these “failures” with a more fulfilling experience rather than just an episode of discouragement and pain.
It’s not going to be easy.
I will tell you that right now.
You don’t just tell your mind, “hey mind, ok switch over you’re not failing, it’s just your test”.
You will actually need to experience it.
If you can take a moment and pause your mind when you are going through this moment of experiencing failure and give it the recognition by facing it with and not overlooking it you will develop an understanding on how you can really overcome it by just shifting your mind.
Take the moment and create it into an opportunity to maximize its value for some serious, serious growth.
This is going to be hard for people who are so used to voicing everything to everyone.
Stop telling people about your problems, how invested you are, or what you had to do to get where you are, blah, blah, blah.
No one cares and it only lessens your worth in your own mind, not just to others.
Real Sacrifice is when you are doing things behind the scenes without anyone knowing what is going on, how you’re feeling, what you are experiencing. All the while you’re experiencing a roller coaster of emotions, all sh*ts hitting the fan, your boat is sinking, but you only express gratitude and positive energy. You are not moping around looking for attention or for someone to feel sorry for you.
Keep your integrity and build your self-worth by doing whatever you have to do without making the noise in doing so.
You will win more internally and externally throughout your life in a natural process in everything you do.
Play on Repeat
- Follow your Vision
- Be Patient and Trust the Process
- See Failure as Opportunity
- Sacrifice in Silence
If you continue to loop this cycle over time you will get to earn the rewards and see the successes through each milestone you achieve. There is no defined time on when each milestone will come or how it will come. All you need to do is keep going on your belief in your vision, trust the process, and stay hungrier than anyone else.
No one will outwork your passion.
